Country Music
Country music is a genre of American popular music that originated in the rural regions of the Southern United States in the 1920s. It takes its roots from the southeastern genre of American folk music and Western music. Blues modes have been used extensively throughout its recorded history. Country music often consists of ballads and dance tunes with generally simple forms and harmonies accompanied by mostly string instruments such as banjos, electric and acoustic guitars, fiddles, and harmonicas.
The term country music gained popularity in the 1940s in preference to the earlier term hillbilly music; it came to encompass Western music, which evolved parallel to hillbilly music from similar roots, in the mid-20th century. The term country music is used today to describe many styles and subgenres. In 2009 country music was the most listened to rush hour radio genre during the evening commute, and second most popular in the morning commute in the United States.

Classical Music
Johann
Christian Bach, Ledwig van Beethoven, Franz Joseph haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus
The word Classical has strong connotations,
conjuring up the art and philosophy of Ancient Greece and Rome along with their
ideals of balance, proportion and disciplined expression. The late Baroque
style was polyphonically complex and melodically ornate. The composers of the
early Classical period changed direction, writing music that was much simpler
in texture.
Homophony–music in which melody and accompaniment are distinct–dominated the Classical style, and new forms of composition were developed to accommodate the transformation. Sonata form is by far the most important of these forms, and one that continued to evolve throughout the Classical period. Although Baroque composers also wrote pieces called sonatas, the Classical sonata was quite different.
One of the most important developments of the Classical period is the growth of the public concert. Although the aristocracy would continue to play a significant role in musical life, it was now possible for composers to survive without being the employee of one person or family. This also meant that concerts were no longer limited to palace drawing rooms. Composers started organizing concerts featuring their own music, and often attracted large audiences. The increasing popularity of the public concert had a strong impact on the growth of the orchestra. Although chamber music and solo works were played in the home or other intimate settings, orchestral concerts seemed to be naturally designed for big public spaces. As a result, symphonic music (including opera and oratorio) became more extroverted in character. Composers gradually expanded the size of the orchestra to accommodate this expanded musical vision.

Children's Music
Children's music is music composed and performed for children by adults. In European-influenced contexts this means
music, usually songs, written specifically for a juvenile audience. The
composers are usually adults. Children's music has historically held both
entertainment and educational functions. Children's music is often designed to
provide an entertaining means of teaching children about their culture, other cultures, good behavior, facts and skills. Many are folk songs, but there is a
whole genre of educational music that has become increasingly popular.
Here are some examples of children's song
- Three Little Mice
- Lullaby
- Six little Snails
- Mistress Mary
- Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars
- The man in the moon

Blues
Blues is an African-American music that has a wide range of
emotions and musical styles. “Feeling blue” is expressed in songs whose verses
lament injustice or express longing for a better life and lost loves, jobs, and
money. Blues is also a wild dance music that celebrates pleasure and success. Its
concept is to overcome sadness and lose
the blues.Historically, the popularity of blues coincides with the rise of the
commercial recording industry, the introduction of “race” records aimed at
black record-buyers after 1920, and the emigration of black Americans from the rural
South to the urban North. The “country blues,” usually considered an earlier
form of the genre, was actually recorded in the mid-1920s.Blues remains with us
in contemporary American culture, and as a traditional musical form it has been
subjected to countless revivals and reinterpretations. Its current
practitioners often integrate the sounds and instrumental pyrotechnics of rock
music and the sheen of urban soul; but the twelve-bar form, variations on the
blues chord progression, and emotive lyrical content remain relatively
unchanged.

- Five Long Years - Canned Heat/Memphis Slim

What is Music?
The
creation, performance,
significance, and even the definition
of music vary
according to culture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized
compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational
music to aleatoric forms.
Music can be divided into genres and subgenres,
although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often
subtle, sometimes open to personal interpretation, and occasionally
controversial. Within the arts,
music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art, and
auditory art. It may also be divided among art musicand folk music.
There is also a strong connection between music
and mathematics. Music may be played and heard live, may be
part of a dramatic work or film, or
may be recorded(Wikipedia)
Music is also "the art of arranging tones in an orderly
sequence so as to produce a unified and continuous composition". In
reality, it does not have any one concrete meaning because it has different
meanings for different people. Music is unique in each person's life. It is how
we perceived it. It can be our passion, our hobby, interest, or past time.
Music is a means of relaxation for some, while others simply enjoy listening to
the sounds, melodies, and rhythms that music brings to their ears, minds, and
hearts.
